Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. At 10:00 hrs, proceed for a guided city tour of Almaty, covering the city’s major landmarks:

• Palace of the President (photo stop)
• Republic Square & Monument of Independence
• Astana Square & Abai Square
• Palace of the Republic
• Panfilov Park
• Zenkov Cathedral
• Memorial of Glory & Eternal Flame

At 15:00 hrs, transfer to Kok Tobe, located atop Kok-Tobe Hill. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the observation deck and spend some free time exploring or shopping for souvenirs.

Overnight stay at the hotel

After breakfast, proceed for a guided excursion to the scenic mountain landscapes surrounding Almaty:

• Visit Medeu Gorge, home to the world’s largest high-altitude ice skating rink and a massive dam that protects the city from mudflows originating in the western Tien Shan mountains.
• Continue to Shymbulak Ski Resort (cable car ride included), situated at 2,230 meters above sea level. The resort is known for its pleasant climate, sunny days, winter snow, and stunning alpine scenery.

Later, return to the city for a walking tour of Arbat Street, a lively pedestrian area popular for cafés, street performances, and shopping.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided excursion to two of Kazakhstan’s most iconic natural attractions:

• Charyn Canyon – Often referred to as the “Grand Canyon of Central Asia,” located approximately 200 km east of Almaty near the Chinese border. It is renowned for its dramatic rock formations, especially the Valley of Castles.
• Kolsai Lakes – Known as the “Pearl of the Tien Shan” and often compared to the Swiss Alps. These comprise a series of three alpine lakes surrounded by steep mountain slopes:
• Lower Lake: 1,800 m
• Middle Lake: 2,250 m
• Upper Lake: 2,800 m above sea level

After the excursion, return to Almaty.

Proceed to Mega Center Alma-Ata for some last-minute shopping. Later, transfer to Almaty International Airport for your onward journey
